Thank you for your interest! Please note that we can only accept applications via our job portal. Applications sent to us by e-mail will not be processed.
Your entry position is partly geared to how advanced you are in your studies and to your professional experience. You can find an overview of your entry options in consulting here. In addition, a career in our Internal Services is also possible. Current vacancies for a work placement, internship, or permanent appointment are advertised in our Job Portal.
Yes! We have ambitious aspirations for growth, and are on the lookout for new talents. However, please pay attention to the information on lead times in the Job Ads when making your application. Via our Job Portal, you can apply for an internship or a permanent appointment in consulting or with our Internal Services. Currently, our interviews and selection days are being held virtually.
Please only apply for advertised vacancies, via our Job Portal. Our recruiting team will also look at your application for other positions and will get in touch with you if they have any queries. On the consulting side, we make appointments throughout the year. However, please pay attention to the information on lead times in the Job Ads when making your application. For our Internal Services, we undertake specific person searches as required.
No. If you have a bachelor’s degree, you are welcome to apply for an internship with us. At present, for a permanent position, you need to have already completed your master’s degree.
Yes! If you are moving directly into consulting after completing your master’s degree, you can either contribute to projects in various sectors as a generalist, or you can join a Functional Strategy Practice directly, focusing on e.g., Technology, Operations, ESG, Organization or Financial Services. If you already have several years of professional experience, direct entry into a specialised practice is common, but not a must.
As a Consulting intern, you will work for two to three months as a member of our project teams, and you will gain project experience directly with clients. In our Internal Services, we offer internships for four to six months.
Currently, we do not offer final dissertation opportunities at Strategy&.
At Strategy&, there is no standard profile; we appoint talents with very varied backgrounds. To start in consulting, you should have completed your master’s degree with excellent grades and already have undertaken internships lasting several months in corporate consulting firms or well-known firms in industry (ideally DAX-40, Fortune 500). If you do not have an economics background, you should have gained some initial practical experience in your field of expertise. Ideally, you have already been able to gain at least six months’ international experience, and you are a strong communicator in both German and English. If you already have career experience, we will ask for evidence of exceptional career progression. Conversely, if you are interested in an internship, you should be registered as a student and in your 5th semester or beyond, and have gained at least 3 months’ international experience.
Experience of consulting or internships in consulting are not mandatory preconditions for a successful application to Strategy&. We always look at the overall picture with incoming applications, and in doing so we give particular consideration to your areas of study and associated opportunities for undertaking additional internships outside your subject specialty. In addition to academic excellence and practical and international experience, it is also important to us that you impress us above all with your personality. You will learn the basis for successful project work in our teams from experienced colleagues and in our onboarding training.

Of course! We are convinced that we achieve better results if we bring together the viewpoints of people with diverse academic backgrounds, personalities, and ways of thinking – which is why we are looking for talents in all subject specialties. To build up core consulting skills quickly, we offer graduates without a background in economics a multi-day MBA training course, in cooperation with St. Gallen University, when they start.
MINT graduates and talents from other disciplines without an economics background bring both comprehensive technical expertise and excellent analytical skills to the table: They can conduct profitable discussions with subject experts on the client side, and thereby nurture a basis of trust for the wider course of the project. This combination of skills, together with our project teams, enable excellent solutions to be developed, from strategy through execution.
The documents to be submitted include a strong covering letter, your resumé, copies of your most important certificates/grade overviews (high school diploma/Abitur, intermediate diploma/ Vordiplom or Zwischenprüfung, bachelor’s, master’s, diploma, PhD), certificates for internships and semesters abroad, and any work testimonials. Please submit your full application documents directly via our Job Portal.
As part of your application, you are asked to indicate a preference as to location with regard to our offices in Berlin, Hamburg, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Munich and Vienna. However, your choice has no influence on the application process. You are free to choose a different office from the one indicated in your application until the contract is drawn up.
At Strategy&, international projects are a matter of course – and for that reason you will be working both flexibly in one of our office locations in the GA region and also remotely or on-site with clients abroad. In addition, you have the opportunity to work for an extended period in one of our international locations. You can find a current list of our offices worldwide here. If you are interested in an internship or a permanent position outside the German-speaking region, you are asked to submit your application via the respective local careers page in the individual countries.

Strategy& has been the global strategy consultancy of PwC since 2014. Originally known as Booz & Company, our expertise is based on over 100 years’ experience in the consulting sector. In a growing number of projects, we work closely with PwC colleagues in order to utilise synergies and advise our clients in a “Strategy through Execution” approach. Prospects and development
So that you quickly get your bearings in your new job, as a new joiner you will attend a comprehensive Onboarding Day. As a graduate in a MINT discipline or if you have a different background, you also have the opportunity to gain insights into areas of strategic corporate management as part of our multi-day MBA training in collaboration with St. Gallen University.
From day one, we assign two mentors at differing levels of experience to you, who support you throughout your onward career progression and are available to you for both personal and professional concerns. Even as an intern, you will benefit from our mentoring program during and after your time with Strategy&.
Continuous professional development is a key element in career planning at Strategy&: In addition to formal on-the-job training, we train your skills continuously – for high achievement in learning throughout your career with Strategy& and beyond. In our structured training and development programs, we value innovative learning concepts with a strong grounding in practice, guaranteeing direct transfer of what has been learned to day-to-day work. Beyond that, you have the opportunity to gain certification as an Agile Coach, in order to apply innovative working methods in strategy consulting jointly with clients.

No! At most of our events, we can only accept a limited number of attendees, and that means we cannot satisfy all those who apply. Being turned down only relates to attending the respective event. If you are unable to take part in your preferred event and are interested in a different entry position with Strategy&, please submit a separate application to us. Our Careers Team will be pleased to receive it!
You undergo the normal application process at Strategy& irrespective of whether you have attended an event. But attending an event benefits you in any case: You can get to know our consultants in a relaxed atmosphere, interact with other talents, gain specialist input, and grow through personal feedback. For that reason, please indicate your attendance at events when applying, so that we can be sure to assign your application correctly in all instances.
