What was your route into the Operations Strategy team at Strategy&?

I studied industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, and after that technical logistics. During my internship at Strategy& last year, I already gained experience in Operations Strategy projects in the automotive and retail and consumer goods sectors, and I immediately felt how much I enjoyed working on Operations issues. Direct entry to the Operations Strategy Practice was already the clear route in for me, even ahead of my permanent appointment to Strategy&.  

What do you most value about working in the Operations Strategy Team? 
The diverse team with its enthusiasm for Operations Strategy issues, experience and specialist knowledge, the willingness to share, and the combination of depth of detail and pragmatism. Whether working on internal campaigns or on project work, you are always supported as needed, and that way you can learn from the experience of others. What’s more, even as a new joiner you are directly included, and can help shape a wide variety of issues, depending on your field of interest.

What was the moment when you knew that it was the right decision to go to Strategy&?  
When I undertook a current process inventory for my first project, in close collaboration with the client. After only a short time, I was able to pursue my ideas independently and was supported by my manager with guidance, valuable feedback, and appreciation. The project showed me how important it is to me personally to develop results capable of being implemented and which genuinely take the client forward. Strategy& combines these Operations issues with a steep learning curve and a close team.
