What was your route into the Financial Services team at Strategy&? I had already done an internship with Strategy& in 2021, and back then I definitely wanted to exploit the “safe space” of the internship to explore an area which I had not come into contact with before. As a result, during the internship I was able to take a look at three different projects within the FS Practice (bank management, reinsurance, due diligence). After taking up a permanent post, I then came back to it!
What was the most exciting strategic issue you have worked on so far? Together with my team, I developed a corporate venture in the embedded finance sector for an international financial services client. It was certainly no standard strategy project, but the tasks were wide-ranging: Refining the product, understanding the target group, identifying attractive markets, generating partnerships, etc. How often do you have the opportunity to collaborate on a startup?
What was the moment when you knew that it was the right decision to go to Strategy&? By the end of my internship, at the latest, I was certain that I wanted to work at Strategy& long-term too. The best confirmation was when I joined the company permanently after completing my Master's degree and it felt like "coming home". Since then, I have not regretted the decision for a single day, and I would not want to swap my Strategy& colleagues for anyone!
