What was your route into the Financial Services team at Strategy&? Full of detours. Banks and insurers did not particularly excite me during my studies. I got to know many industries until my previous employer allowed me to dive into the world of banking. Since understanding the complexity and significance of the underlying business models, it is these that excite me about Financial Services. And because I enjoy advancing topics in Financial Services, which is equally high on the agenda of Strategy&, one thing led to another.
What was the most exciting strategic issue you have worked on so far? What technologies do I need to invest in as a large insurer (and how much money?), in order to both create a better customer experience and drive the digitalization of the organization while increasing efficiency? All against the backdrop of a rapidly rising interest rate environment, which adds additional uncertainty to an already challenging market. You cannot be closer to a CxO agenda than this.
What was the moment when you knew that it was the right decision to go to Strategy&? At the latest by the end of the probation period. In addition to exciting topics, I was and am still very impressed by the culture at Strategy&. For me, this is the combination of great project teams and an active office community with many events. On the other hand, it is the space for entrepreneurship and the partnership’s willingness to support the interests and "growth trajectory" of consultants, even if occasionally left or right of Financial Services.
