What was your route into the Financial Services team at Strategy&? 
Other entry routes. During my studies, I wasn’t particularly excited by banks and insurance companies. As a result, I got to know many industries before my previous employer gave me the chance to dip my toe into the world of banking. Now that I have penetrated the complexity and scope of their business models, notably by comparison with “normal” businesses, it is precisely this that excites me about FS. And because I enjoy driving issues in FS, and these are high on the Strategy& agenda, one thing led to another. 

What was the most exciting strategic issue you have worked on so far?  
That was a major insurance company, asking which are the technologies I really need to be investing in (and how many euros?) to create a better customer experience on the one hand, and on the other hand to drive digitization in the organization and increase efficiency? And all against the background of a rapidly-rising interest environment, creating additional uncertainty in what was already a challenging market. There is no greater CxO agenda. 

What was the moment when you knew that it was the right decision to go to Strategy&?  
By the end of my probationary period, at the latest. In addition to exciting issues, I was and am very impressed by the culture at Strategy&. On the one hand, for me that is the combination of dynamic project teams and a cool office community, with lots of events. On the other hand, it is the space for 
entrepreneurship and the partnership’s readiness to commit to the interests and the “growth trajectory” of the consultants, including where it strays from FS on occasion.
