What was your route into the ESG Team at Strategy&? 
When I started in our Financial Services team, I observed how our clients were increasingly faced with challenging questions regarding sustainable value creation. What impressed me the most was that their ambitions went beyond regulatory minimums, aiming to take a proactive role in the transformation of society. This motivated me to join the ESG team at Strategy& and to accompany our clients on their journey toward a sustainable future. In this role, I focus on understanding what sustainability means for individual industries, business models, and corporate positioning, how these issues can be addressed, and how ‘green’ business potentials can be identified.

What do you most value about working in the ESG Team? 
I value the ESG team for its entrepreneurial spirit and strong team orientation. The needs of our clients in relation to ESG are diverse, and every project becomes an exciting challenge. These challenges can only be approached with a diverse team that thinks ‘out-of-the-box.’ The nature of the sustainability issues we address means that even conversations beyond the work itself are enriching and give you the feeling of working for the right cause.

What has been your best moment (so far) in the ESG Team? 
I always find it exciting to see how established companies are willing to initiate fundamental transformations in the name of sustainability. A great example is a global provider of mobility solutions, whom we were able to support in unlocking sustainable potentials from platforms such as electric fleets and shared mobility.
